The only reason I ask is that most of the back+forth type questions nowadays seem to be from (a) weewx newbies, or (b) non-linux people or (c) folks in one or more of the previous categories who are trying to use weewx on what I'd call "bleeding edge - buyer beware" stations and drivers. I also get questions periodically on the side ala 'w*hat station do I buy if I cannot afford Davis*' and I really don't know what to tell them, seems like all the others have some nuances a 'just want to plug it in and just-plain work' user might get frustrated with. v3 big thing was I guess separate databases and perhaps the extension installer (?) Is there any kind of plan for a v4 next big change/improvement/enhancement looking forward ? i still hesitate to put things on github - the easy collaboration is nice, > but getting meaningful stats is impossible. > > yup - it's always a trade-off I guess....a little surprising github doesn't have the stats you want, but I guess they're awaiting a PR :-)
