Tom - in the -users group we've been going back and forth with a user having some growing pains getting the rpm to install on CentOS7. I think a minor tweak to the redhat.htm docs might help.
--- suggested addition to the RH7 section --- For RHEL 7 based systems, also enable the EPEL repo and install pyserial, pyusb, and (optionally) python2-pip rpms from there. They are not bundled with CentOS-7 in the os's default repositories.
