Oh, I understand the internal vs external aspects. Personally, past the 
first setup long ago, I've never had an issue considering there is a handy 
example of both.
It's language, language is not simple.

How many feet did it fall?
It took a 50 foot fall.

I'm happy with things they way they are. It's a one time thing. Reading is 
fundamental as the PSA used to say.
