I have a Peet Bros Ultimeter 2100. It comes with a console which reads real time data and stores daily high-lows for 5 days and more without a computer. Of, course many other units do that, but the Peet Bros is NOT wireless which can be an advantage.
Your niece may like the ability to record the high-lows without checking at the same time.
