But, that bucks the whole reason I wrote weewx in the first place. I was a hardcore wview user, but also interested in experimenting with new devices and algorithms. I found wview to be very brittle and very difficult to modify. Everything required a change to the code base. So, I wrote weewx. Supporting the Dekay library is a fine example of the weewx approach.
