Thanks for the tip.  The only device I have in addition to the Vantage Pro 
2 is the Davis Ethernet adapter which connects the Davis box via ethernet 
to my server running WeeWX.

As you see from my config, the Davis interface IP is 172.20.100.40.  I 
tried to connect via port 80 but no answer, when I tried via port 22222 the 
connection was reset.  Do you have any more info on this scenario..?
