first figure out whether the 'holes' are just at wu or also in your local 
database.

check the weewx log - you should see a log message whenever weewx is unable 
to connect to wu.  however, it is possible that there will be 'holes' in 
the data at wu even though there are no warnings or errors in the logs; 
sometimes wu accepts your data but simply does not display it, or somehow 
displays it an hour or a day later.

be sure that the 'holes' do not exist in your local database.  browse the 
weewx database using your favorite database client.  see if there are 
'holes' in the data that match the 'holes' at wu.  if so, then you have 
data collection issues.

if the 'holes' are only at wu, then you can plug the holes by running 
wunderfixer:
