Hello,
I was wondering how people in the weewx user community mounted their
anemometers.

I currently have a Vantage Vue mounted on a fence about 20 ft from my my
house (best I can do), it is also about 10 ft above the ground. I just
started publishing to Weather Underground and discovered that my data is
off - most of the stations in the area are around 270 degrees, mine has
values all over the place but it seems to center around 120 degrees. There
is a blank spot around 270 degrees on mine that just didn't make sense.

Sadly my region is rather hilly and populated area and the "blank" spot
concedes with the "channel" between the house and the hill for the wind to
travel. Though it seemed unlikely until now this was the cause. Since its a
Vue I'll have to change the battery but I'm tempted to mount a separate
anemometer and station to try to get more accurate updates.

Hoping to start a thread here on how people mounted and installed their
stations. In addition, would be interesting to see how you resolved issues
in relation to accuracy.
