Hi Matthew,
The meteosticks fault messages dissapeared after upgrading to the latest
version !. But this Meteostick was not sensitive enough to give a perfect
reception of the outside Vantage Pro-2 measurement unit. The distance is
only 8 meters. On the meteostick there is a very little piece of wire of
about 10 cm , used as an antenna. On the frequency used (~866 Mhz) this
wire should act a a 1/4 lambda antenna, (8.6 cm) but in practice this was
not working like you should expect for the considerable price (159 euro).
It is also not possible to change this piece of wire for a decent antenna
without breaking the garanty. This caused several times a day reception
problems, causing white spot's in the graph.
Happily my provider (weerhuisje.nl) was very kind to change the meteostick
for a 6410USB interface to be used in the original Vantage console, at no
extra costs ! After the change to the original interface, the reception is
perfect !
