Thanks Gary. I will start making the changes you suggest. As for the other two issues, the gauges 'appear' to be working, but if you have found some underlying issue, I would like to sort it and the WU RF out. I'll be getting back to you.

You may wish to change the WU forecast download interval to something much shorter by setting the interval config option under [[WU]] in weewx.conf, interval = 120 should download the WU forecast every archive period. If you do drop it to something like 120, make sure you increase it or go back to default or you risk making too many API calls and that would be bad. I note you also seem to have a couple of gauge-data.txt issues as well as the odd WU RF issue, but let's get forecast issue sorted first.
