Well understanding that downloading the data stored in the hardware is a
good thing (for a long time I used wview that did not have this option and
every blackout for a thunderstorm I lost the rain data (I do not consider
the ups a valid solution due to the elettric noise that in any case
generates)), there are cases where it would be useful not to download the
archived data at the reboot.
For example, when for maintenance we are forced to bring the
thermo-hygrometer out of the solar shield.
With the davis that i also have the problem does not arise, because there
is the 'setup' mode for the console that blocks data reception from iss and
because, in alternative, there is the wee_device --clear-memory command.
The problem instead exists for the TE923 as although documented in the help
does not exist the --clear-memory command and the only way for the console
to not receive data is removing the current and the batteries from the
console. Very uncomfortable considering that when the power is restarted,
the console starts a recovery period of 15 minutes and sometimes it is
necessary to reset coordinates, altitude, dst
So there is a possibility with this station (waiting for the relative
driver to implement the --clear-memory command) to avoid downloading the
data in the logger that are to be considered definitely wrong?
thank you
