Hi, I can't help with mqtt, or getting your project working, but the error in that code is to reshuffle the 4 syslog defs back to the top of the code, so they are defined before they are called. Have a look at https://github.com/weewx/weewx/blob/master/examples/pmon/bin/user/pmon.py and you'll see those same defs where they should be, and with the correct indentation.
