in weewx.conf, enable debug_decode like this:
[WMR300]
debug_decode = 1
then restart weewx and post about 10 minutes of the resulting log.
it is odd that winddir would be reported for regular weewx reports but not
for wu, so lets find out exactly what the driver is sending out.
