I already tried option 2, it's not in the repository and I couldn't find anything when I googled "openwrt pypcap". I might try option 1 when I have time, though I've had another idea that I might also try; make the port that the bridge is plugged into its own isolated network. that should let me separate the two http servers without messing with the port, and it will also isolate the bridge from the acurite servers in case they try to upload a deactivation code next year when they officially discontinue support for the device.
