You need to be aware of two things
a) The database can store data in one of 3 formats - and there is nothing
wrong with having US set as the storage unit
b) The reports can be generated in whatever units you require

If the database is US (as seems likely and which is the default) then all
you need to do is select the units in the skin.conf to be whatever you wish
to use for reporting purposes - which appears to be metric - so just change
all the units/groups to the required units as required in the Units section
of standard skin.conf

IF you will never want to use imperial units then you can override the
skin.conf settings by changing the units in weewx.conf

posting your weewx.conf and skin.conf would help identify any issues
