It sounds like you do not need sdr, David. It's Software-Defined Radio. 
What's available for weewx is a driver that works with a type of radio 
receiver, connected by usb, that can receive and decode data from certain 
types of wireless sensors. Since you have a console with usb output, sdr is 
probably totally irrelevant to your needs.
