USB mode only applies to the 1000 models and the 2032/2032c from what I 
have read. I dont see a USB mode when cycling through.
I decided to try spinning up a old rpi to test with and it appears to work 
there. I suspect this has something to do with old(firmware)/faulty usb 
ports causing issues.
