I changed the realTimeUrlWeewx option to '../gauge-data.txt'   This has 
made things better, but I still (as you observed) have a 2 minute update 
period (= archive period), and I still don't have the windrose gauge even 
though I have the settings as true. I cannot find a setting in weewx.conf 
under [RealtimeGaugeData] which appears relevant. Here is the snip from 
weewx.conf:
