By weird entries I take it you mean windSpeed and windGust being 0.0 and windDir and windGustDir being NULL. If so they could, though I think they are symptoms rather than the cause. Having no wind data would give those results and could give the error that you had in your original post. Are you seeing any wind related data on your console? If not I suspect that once the wind data comes back WeeWX will be fine. That being said WeeWX-WD (the extension that provided weewxwd3.py) should tolerate a lack of wind data and it should cause WeeWX to exit. Either way i have some work to do with WeeWX-WD by the sounds of it.
