I took my pl2303 and jammed a hard drive jumper onto pins 2 and 3, ran putty and managed to get an echo. I installed Weatherlink on my windows pc and attempted to setup the station. Did the auto-detect for the COM port and it found nothing. I manually punched in the actual COM port - 9 - and ran the Test feature. It returns with VantagePro2 found on COM port 9. But it only did that once - it no longer detects the station. So, something is flaky, but I'm still not sure what. Trying to think of other serial devices I can hook up to this converter to validate if it is the culprit.
