Kevin, WeeWX records rain as rain per period rather than recording a cumulative value. So for stations that report a cumulative value weeWX works out the difference between the current total and the previous total. When you first start weeWX the very first loop packet will contain no rain data because the was no previous total to use. In Observer mode the interceptor driver should be using rain_total to calculate rain. You have a field rain_total in your raw packets so rain should be working. You have only posted log extracts with a single packet, can you post an extract that covers a number of consecutive packets?
