Alternatively, use the report_timing option <http://weewx.com/docs/customizing.htm#_________The_report_timing_option_______> and then there is no need to setup a cron :)
David, do you have FTP or rsync running and just want to change the frequency of uploads or do you not have any FTP/rsync functioning at all?
