A friend of mine has been given an old but working Davis Vantage Pro (not Pro2). I have a Vantage Vue running weeWX on a RPi Zero W so I suggested he try weeWX. However, the weeWX documentation I found refers to the Pro2 and Vue - no specific reference to the 'plain old' Pro. Mind you, there neither did I find anything that said the Pro would NOT work!
The Pro has the original firmware but I'm not sure of the exact version. My friend has already attached an FTDI USB-serial converter and is getting data out of the console. He's just having trouble managing the data stream. Can you use weeWX with the 'old' Pro? Completely compatible? Totally not compatible? Thanks guys.
