I am having some problems with the Acurite bridge, and I suspect hardware failure. (Syslog shows that the interceptor occasionally receives full data, but for the past several hours it mostly just reports "weewx[916]: interceptor: MainThread: empty queue".)
I assume it makes sense to try updating the interceptor driver. It's currently 0.39. (And I'm still running weewx 3.8.0. But unless I'm advised otherwise, my inclination is not to attempt to upgrade weewx until this is resolved.) For now, my question is very simple: should I uninstall the interceptor driver before installing the new one?
