I certainly am a noob.  Just ask Gary.

Based on the “hint” from Tom I added stormStart to units.py and it seems to
work.   I probably missed the boat somewhere.

obs_group_dict = ListOfDicts({"altitude"           : "group_altitude",

                              "cloudbase"          : "group_altitude",

                              "cooldeg"            : "group_degree_day",

.

.

.

"stormStart"         : "group_time",

This is what I get:

Storm Rain5.14 in since 02/19/2019 12:00:00 AM

--------

The problem is that the unit system is unaware of stormStart, so the tag
$current.stormStart gets returned as a raw value, instead of a ValueHelper.
I've created issue #380 to track.

This is an easy one to fix, should some noob want to take it on!

Hi,

The Vantage driver certainly decodes stormDate. I suspect you might find that
unless there is stormRain there is no stormDate. Might be worth checking again
when you have rain.
