The FTP skin has nothing to do with the look and feel of your site/pages. Its sole purpose is to run the FTP generator to FTP your files to a remote server. You would normally have one or more skins (eg Seasons) being run under StdReport to produce the pages for your site, if you use a remote web server you then have the Ftp or Rsync skins being run to upload your your previously generated pages.
