here is something to work with

[[Rain]]
        title = Rain Total (Year)
        time_length = year
        aggregate_type = max
        aggregate_interval = 86400 # 1 day
        gapsize = 86400000
        type = column

        [[[rainTotal]]]
            name = Rain Total
            zIndex = 1

        [[[rainRate]]]
            name = Rain Rate
            yAxis = 1

         [[[lightning_strikes]]]
            name = Lightning Count
            zIndex = 2

Would like to see the rain total as a spline and lightning strikes as a
column.
