The data emitted by a Davis Vantage is in coded binary. It would look like gibberish.
The data that is printed by weewxd when run from the command line is fairly raw. I say "fairly" because StdWXCalculate may have added some values to it. However, if you set all the options in [StdWXCalculate]/[[Calculations]] <http://www.weewx.com/docs/usersguide.htm#[[Calculations]]> to 'hardware', then it will just pass the hardware values along.
