The driver is simply incorrect for rain. I have it fixed in my fork, but you would need to be running WeeWX 4 to use it.
https://github.com/chaunceygardiner/weewx-ip100 If you aren’t running WeeWX 4 (to be released real soon now), but you feel comfortable coding, you could back port the rain changes. The changes might be more easily discovered if you look at the pull request I sent to Matthew at: https://github.com/matthewwall/weewx-ip100/pull/2/files Cheers, John > On Apr 22, 2020, at 1:26 PM, Dale <d...@charter.net> wrote: > > I have installed weewx and the only easy to grab real life data was from a > Rainwise Mark III receiver in an IP-100 device that I have. > > All went smoothly and I am very happy, until it rained. > > I haven't had rain in the last few days, but may have some in the next few to > test it again, but, as I said every other data point looks good and plots > well. > > > When it rains I get enormous rain rates, like 1500 " / hour, and those values > go along with tens of inches of rain being accumulated. > > The rain graph shows bar graphs, which I assume are for the individual hours, > rather than a more traditional line or bar grouping that rises over time > showing the accumulation. > > Since the Rainwise.net site for my ip-100 shows all data being correct and in > agreement with the console for the Mark III Oracle, I assume that I haven't > gotten something set up right for the rain portion of the WeeWx or driver. > > > Does this trigger any sort of ideas from those here using this driver? > > When it rains again, what logs or parts of records might I look to in order > to see what I have wrong or needs adjusting? > > Dale > > ecwx.info/weewx > > > > -- > You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups > "weewx-user" group. > To unsubscribe from this group and stop receiving emails from it, send an > email to weewx-user+unsubscr...@googlegroups.com. > To view this discussion on the web visit > https://groups.google.com/d/msgid/weewx-user/d8a3d612-8075-d939-d96d-aae336f3f40a%40charter.net. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "weewx-user" group.
