I had this same problem. You need to use a different version of rtl_433 that was added specifically for Atlas support (and is still under development).
The version you need is on github at https://github.com/merbanan/rtl_433. However, you can't just use the master version -- you should clone and compile the branch called "feat-atlas" (i.e., feature change for the Atlas).
