Tom, First thoughts are that something like you describe should not be too hard to implement. Unfortunately I am a bit pressed at the moment with a number of other extensions etc that need porting to WeeWX4/python3. I will make a note and try to look at it in the not too distant future. Feel free to give me prod if you hear nothing back in a few weeks.
