Put me down as a happy RainMachine user. You have the direct from WeeWX capability or if you feed data to Aeris, the ability to use their API to get the data. No cloud required if you don't wish, capable if you do.
I didn't like that other commercial brands required internet to function as advertised. Didn't want to cobble a homebrew controller. RainMachine was (and is I think) my sole choice.
