I run WeeWx in parallel with Meteobridge.  My setup is different than yours 
and I don't have the issues you have.

I have three stations, two are remote require a considerable drive. I am 
using the GW-1000 which sends data to both devices. I can log in remotely 
to both the RasPi (using VNC) and Meteobridge so that I can remotely 
reconfigure if I see a problem.

It's working very well for me. It saves a lot of driving.
I hope you are able to get the kinks out.
