The difference in weewx.conf from the still good to the dead version is the 
entry

[[[[Labels]]]
km_per_hour = km / h

under [[WeatherBoardReport]]

And the Loop-Data version 1.3.4 and after 1.3.5

Question: can this label entry have this effect?
