Certainly pre-2.7 - so to try to work weewx v4 on an ancient (EOL 3.5 years 
ago) CentOS 5, you'd need to compile your own python, which is certainly 
possible, but then you'd need to install pip and pip install everything I 
think.

Just asking, but is it 'really' necessary to use centos-5 ?   There's a 
point in time where you just need to upgrade, even if it is only once per 
decade for CentOS.
