Ok, how are the MQTT records concerned being produced? Presumably using the 
WeeWX MQTT uploader <https://github.com/weewx/weewx/wiki/mqtt> or maybe 
something else?

Might help to get some config details, eg what station, what version of 
WeeWX, how is the MQTT uploader configured. Probably easiest to post a 
wee_debug <http://weewx.com/docs/utilities.htm#wee_debug_utility> report. 
If posting the wee_debug report do check the report content for sensitive 
data such as usernames, passwords, addresses etc before posting. wee_debug 
does a good job at obfuscating such data but it’s not perfect.
