I'll take a look at editing in the 280. Since it is a Davis, we have to use 
rtldavis, not the sdr.py driver. In the end, the SDR method gives the basic 
data that comes from the ISS. I may decide if I want to keep the WiFiLogger 
or the WLL and give the other to my friend. Either are easier in WeeWX, and 
more important for him, no worries about updating things. That's my main 
concern with editing/hacking a driver.
