This is a recurring problem with the WMR200. See issue #578 <https://github.com/weewx/weewx/issues/578>.
There seems to be some evidence that the problem happens less often under Python 2.7, but it doesn't go away. I know I often ask for "More log!", but the full 6.3MB log is way too big. We only need it from a restart through the first reporting cycle.
