Ditto here in the UK on my VP2 and Linux Buster on a re-purposed thin-client. My 'fix' to this annual issue is:
service weewx stop cd /home/weewx/bin ./wee_device --dump ./wee_device --clear service weewx start I don't lose data, but it is kind of annoying!
