I'm having a very difficult time installing WeeWX on ubuntu.

I have the Logia LOWSCx10SWB. I was able to easily connect to wunderground
and weathercloud. But I prefer the look and feel of WeeWX so I'm really
hoping to get this up and running.

During the installation process I noticed that my weather station hardware
was not available. Acurite is very similar, but I ended up choosing
simulator in the config file. It's a little frustrating because the file is
set to read-only, and I have only been able to alter things using vi which
is difficult.

I added the import.conf example file for WU (wunderground) in hopes to at
the very least pull data using the station ID and API key. When I restarted
WeeWX and looked at the localhost file it was still showing only simulator
data.

I know it's time consuming and I'm sorry, but could someone please help me
get this up and running? Even if my hardware is not compatible, I would
like to see data using wunderground's API.

I'm having a difficult time posting my config files because I can't
copy/paste using a virtual machine since I'm trying to install WeeWX on
ubunut. However, I only went through the setup wizard with the initial
config file and chose simulator. I then copied and pasted 'wu-example.conf'
into the WeeWx director the same as the main config file and only added the
station ID and API key.

Thanks for your help and patience with me.
