I had finally gotten Weewx working with the Ecowitt GW1000, but am back to square one as I try to switch to ethernet cable.
My set up: GW1000 linked to home Wifi, linked to Weewx with Ecowitt driver <https://github.com/gjr80/weewx-gw1000>, Weewx running on old laptop. The laptop was on wifi and Weewx was working but it kept dropping connection. I thought a permanent solution would be to just run a cable to the laptop and leave it. But this seems to have interrupted the setup. I tried to go into Weewx.conf and change the driver IP address to my ethernet but it did not correct the issue.
