This morning we had a very unusual occurrence here at Ocean Beach San Francisco. The wind speed dropped to 0 mph for a short period. This resulted in the value of *$currentwindDir.formatted* being set to *N/A* upsetting my wind gauge javascript which expects a numerical value.
Do I need to add some code to check the *$currentwindDir.formatted * is numerical or is there a more reliably numerical weewx value I may use to set my wind direction gauge?
