Hmm,
the WS-2816 has around 1800 records which is by an interval of 5min less
then a week
datastorage. For some reasons I'd like to make the update once a month.
But all my
computer equipment is since 20 years under linux and it would be great to
use the
weatherstation in that system. Also the appearance of the values in weewx
is much more
better and flexible than via Heavyweather (which here runs in a virtual
windows machine). I collected
weather for nearly 15 years with a WS-2300 and it is only a hobby for me.
But
the windsensor get defect (only a little LED for the detection of wind
direction, but
no one can tell me what type it is ...)((LaCrosse is really BAD in
technical service!)) and I bought
the new WS-2800 for 99€ which I think is a good price for the value.

If someone here ist interested to solve the driver problem I will give all
assiśtance needed.
I'm not familiar with python but some other programming knowlegde.
