That's a pity, I  was under the impression the time signal came from the 
console not the transmitter , but reading the manual seems to indicate 
otherwise.
I bought spare outdoor sensors when Maplin were closing down so have 2 of 
everything, the only thing I didn't buy was the outdoor transmitter ! 
SInce I replaced the transmitter  I managed to repair the original outdoor 
transmitter, unfortunately  then  the console USB connection failed, so I 
had no way of getting the data from the console to my PC. 
I ended up using a USB SDR dongle, and a  RPi 3B (both of which I had) 
running WEEWX to pick up the outdoor transmitter signal Pressure and indoor 
humidity/temp come from a BME280 connected to the PI, seems to work well so 
far.
