Sean - What weewx driver do you then use to interface weewx to the Davis Envoy? Also, from my reading on the Davis website this solution requires the Davis WeatherLink data logger be installed in the Envoy. Is this how your system is configured?
If it works in the manner you're describing this would be a way around having to retrieve your data from the Davis "Cloud". I am surprised Davis still sells this solution given their current data capture philosophy! Of course, it costs extra $$$.
