Somthing strange... Left the system with the error last evening: april 05 23:28:43 RockyLinux1 weewxd[25755]: ERROR weewx.drivers.fousb: unrecognised magic number 2521
This morning the system was working. I had to setup a new system disk in my server because the boot record/partition was failing and no way I was able to restore the boot record/partition. I had Rocky Linux to setup RAID 1 for the system disk but no help so I bought a new disk and had to setup the hole server configuration againg. I was able to mount one of the system disks (get the RAID run with one disk) to another server and download several configurations. Also for WEEWX. Part of the config: ############################################################################## [FineOffsetUSB] # This section is for the Fine Offset series of weather stations. # The station model, e.g., WH1080, WS1090, WS2080, WH3081 model = WS2080 # How often to poll the station for data, in seconds polling_interval = 10 # The driver to use: driver = weewx.drivers.fousb ############################################################################## Well, system is working now. lørdag 5. april 2025 kl. 23:37:28 UTC+2 skrev Ole Andreas Gløersen: > I have installed it several times. > > It seems to be some USB driver problems. > > Any help please. > > > > # sudo systemctl status weewx > ● weewx.service - WeeWX > Loaded: loaded (/usr/lib/systemd/system/weewx.service; enabled; > preset: disabled) > Active: active (running) since Sat 2025-04-05 23:28:43 CEST; 47s ago > Docs: https://weewx.com/docs > Main PID: 25755 (weewxd) > Tasks: 2 (limit: 202318) > Memory: 14.8M > CPU: 129ms > CGroup: /system.slice/weewx.service > └─25755 /bin/python3 /usr/local/bin/weewxd > /etc/weewx/weewx.conf > > april 05 23:28:43 RockyLinux1 weewxd[25755]: INFO weewx.restx: CWOP: > Posting not enabled. > april 05 23:28:43 RockyLinux1 weewxd[25755]: INFO weewx.restx: WOW: > Posting not enabled. > april 05 23:28:43 RockyLinux1 weewxd[25755]: INFO weewx.restx: AWEKAS: > Posting not enabled. > april 05 23:28:43 RockyLinux1 weewxd[25755]: INFO weewx.engine: 'pyephem' > detected, extended almanac data is available > april 05 23:28:43 RockyLinux1 weewxd[25755]: INFO weewxd: Starting up > weewx version 5.1.0 > april 05 23:28:43 RockyLinux1 weewxd[25755]: INFO weewx.engine: Using > binding 'wx_binding' to database 'weewx.sdb' > april 05 23:28:43 RockyLinux1 weewxd[25755]: INFO weewx.manager: Starting > backfill of daily summaries > april 05 23:28:43 RockyLinux1 weewxd[25755]: INFO weewx.manager: Daily > summaries up to date > april 05 23:28:43 RockyLinux1 weewxd[25755]: ERROR weewx.drivers.fousb: > unrecognised magic number 2521 > april 05 23:28:43 RockyLinux1 weewxd[25755]: INFO weewx.drivers.fousb: > synchronising to the weather station (quality=1) > > > # dmesg | grep -i hid > [ 0.369420] hid: raw HID events driver (C) Jiri Kosina > [ 0.369448] usbcore: registered new interface driver usbhid > [ 0.369449] usbhid: USB HID core driver > [ 0.995154] hid-generic 0003:046D:C52B.0001: input,hidraw0: USB HID > v1.11 Keyboard [Logitech USB Receiver] on usb-0000:00:14.0-7/input0 > [ 1.050878] hid-generic 0003:046D:C52B.0002: input,hiddev96,hidraw1: > USB HID v1.11 Mouse [Logitech USB Receiver] on usb-0000:00:14.0-7/input1 > [ 1.052283] hid-generic 0003:046D:C52B.0003: hiddev97,hidraw2: USB HID > v1.11 Device [Logitech USB Receiver] on usb-0000:00:14.0-7/input2 > [ 1.083320] hid-generic 0003:0B05:18A3.0004: hiddev98,hidraw3: USB HID > v1.11 Device [AsusTek Computer Inc.
