An inexpensive SDR dongle and running weewx with rtl-davis can get the 
outside data by listening for the ISS readings via RF if that helps any. I 
added a bme280 to a pi via a breadboard to have inside temp and pressure as 
well. Some assembly required, so probably not for a pi or linux new user, 
but it does work reliably.

It would be nice to have an updated howto for how to query the Davis 
servers from weewx more simply. There are a number of Weatherlink Live 
drivers listed in the wiki including an ancient deprecated one I wrote, but 
I don’t know which one(s) would work today for users with the new 
tablet-like console, nor if some of the third party hardware solutions 
would help any. A modern howto with working options would be great,
