An inexpensive SDR dongle and running weewx with rtl-davis can get the outside data by listening for the ISS readings via RF if that helps any. I added a bme280 to a pi via a breadboard to have inside temp and pressure as well. Some assembly required, so probably not for a pi or linux new user, but it does work reliably.
It would be nice to have an updated howto for how to query the Davis servers from weewx more simply. There are a number of Weatherlink Live drivers listed in the wiki including an ancient deprecated one I wrote, but I don’t know which one(s) would work today for users with the new tablet-like console, nor if some of the third party hardware solutions would help any. A modern howto with working options would be great, On Monday, June 30, 2025 at 1:09:14 PM UTC-7 [email protected] wrote: > Unfortunately, there is at this time no way to make weewx to > communicate directly with a "colored" (Davis 6313) console. > > Le lundi 30 juin 2025 à 21:14:47 UTC+2, Jhon Paul Kionesala a écrit : > >> Hi, I recently discover this app, It is so useful because I want to store >> my weather data locally, now I want to use weewx on it, I have Davis >> vantage pro 2 with the coloured console. >> >> May I ask how can I start? what is the flow of the data from weather >> station to storing? sorry for very noob question > > -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "weewx-user" group.
