sensor usually has battery backup for months.
sensor controller (eg davis console) usually has battery backup for weeks.
weewx server backup, you are probably looking at SOHO UPS, for minutes to hours 
- more than that takes something more sophisticated/expensive like a portable 
power station (lithium) or full-blown premises battery backup [i now have home 
battery on grid/solar for blackouts]
