I am attempting (again) to configure the Garni 1025 weather station, which I wrote about some time ago (https://groups.google.com/g/weewx-user/c/ltOzib4AieM/m/Uo1qye4vAgAJ). To summarize that thread, I will remind you that I used a Raspberry Pi Zero and was unable to listen in on the transmission from the internal THP sensor or intercept the data sent by the panel to WU. I was also unable to make changes to the LAN configuration.
Now I want to use a Raspberry Pi 2 and a cable LAN connection. I am able to configure the Raspberry to "pretend" to be the rtpupdate.wunderground.com server - that is, to hijack network packets using a local DNS server. Do you think this will be enough for Weewx to retrieve data from the weather station? I intend to use the interceptor driver, and I have a question about how to configure it. I should definitely use the device_type = wu-client option - but what next? -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "weewx-user" group.
