Do some searching for 'acurite' here please.  This has been coming up a lot 
for trixie -

some pointers but there have been multiple long threads since trixie came 
out.

Usually the issue is that the user weewx runs as (weewx if you are using a 
dpkg installation) is not in a group permitted to access the hardware, but 
acurite seems to have issues with some kernels or libusb versions perhaps.
